Publication of Extended Adult Practice Review

The Mid and West Wales Safeguarding Board has today published the report of the Extended Adult Practice Review, reference CWMPAS 5 2019, in respect of an older person who resided in Carmarthenshire.

The Review was commissioned by the Mid and West Wales Safeguarding Board, and has been undertaken in accordance with statutory legislation set out in the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and accompanying guidance Working Together to Safeguard People Volume 3 – Adult Practice Reviews (Welsh Government, 2016).

Carmarthenshire County Council has made the following statement to accompany publication of the report.

‘Carmarthenshire County Council accepts the findings in the Review. The Mid and West Wales Safeguarding Board will now oversee the delivery of an action plan and are committed to ensuring that any lessons continue to be learnt and services improved.

The review has been an opportunity to reflect and share learning amongst all partner organisations and practitioners on a multi-agency basis, and we acknowledge the commitment and contribution of those who have taken part in the review process.’
